NEW MILFORD LIONS CLUB
Lion Shawn Davis presents a new eyeglass collection box to be located in front of New Milford Town Hall. Shawn Davis designed and built the collection box. Lions, Leos, and other volunteers collect used eyeglasses for donation to Lions Eyeglass Recycling Centers that are located throughout the world. The used eyeglasses are cleaned, repaired and classified by prescription. The eyeglasses are then distributed to those in need by Lion volunteers and other organizations hosting optical missions in developing countries.

The New Milford Lions Club prides itself in taking an active interest in the civic, social and morale welfare of the community. The New Milford Lions Club was organized as a charter club on April 18, 1929. Since its inception, the members of the New Milford Lions Club have dedicated themselves to SERVICE. The New Milford Lions Club have distinguished themselves as extraordinary citizens by donating unselfishly their own time to the success of fundraisers and service projects.
